Undergraduate Certificate Program Requirements & Course Transfer Policy

Completing an Undergraduate Certificate

If you have completed a certificate program, you must fill out a Certificate Petition Form and submit it to Online and Continuing Education in order to have the certificate formally noted on your transcript. We would also like to request that students completing a certificate program also take a couple of minutes to complete the Degree/Certificate Completion Survey so that we can collect your feedback on the certificate program for purposes of quality control.


Applying to a Graduate Certificate Programs

Completing a Graduate Certificate

Graduate certificate courses must be completed within a five year period with a minimum 3.0 grade point average and with no more than one course with a grade below B. Once all the courses for a graduate certificate have been completed, students must complete and submit the "Graduate Certificate Clearance Form" which may be downloaded from the UMass Lowell Solution Center website. Please submit your completed form to: UMass Lowell Registrar's Office, 883 Broadway Street, Room 104, Lowell, MA 01854-5129, Attn: Lauren Dufresne.
