The Flexible Material
1 DAY LECTURE/WORKSHOP
OFFERED ONCE:
June 16, 2008 (CRS# 00.738-011)
TUITION: $625
OVERVIEW
This course provides fundamental information on all areas of rubber technology
and covers the history of materials and present-day applications. Structure,
mechanical behavior, design of rubber components and processing characteristics
of thermoset elastomer materials are also addressed. In addition to the basic
information, class material will touch upon compounding, product development and
developing materials for specific applications. Included in this course will be
a laboratory on mixing and injection molding of rubber compounds.
