Setting up Hotmail Email Filters

If you are using a hotmail email account, it automatically filters all emails through a built-in junk mail filter. In order to receive emails from your online class mailing list you will need to change the junk mail filter settings as shown below.

1. Login to your hotmail account.
2. Click on to "Options" next to "Help" on the far right.



3. Under "Mail Handling" click on "Junk Mail Filter"
4. You will see few options under "Choose your Junk Mail Filter level"



5. Check the first option "Default (obvious junk mail is caught)"
6. Click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom left corner

Once you have configured the junk mail filter you have to keep looking into the junk mail folder for emails from webboard.uml.edu. This folder will automatically delete the emails in seven days, so you should keep all emails that came from webboard.uml.edu.
