Troubleshooting Tips for Pop-Up Blockers

Here are some places you can look to find pop-up blockers:

Many internet browsers contain built-in pop-up blockers. Check additional toolbars installed in Internet Explorer:
Click on View > Toolbars
Look for browser add-ons (i.e. Google, Yahoo, etc.)
Make sure the add-ons are checked
Locate the toolbars on the IE browser and turn off any pop-up blockers it may contain.
Check the System Tray (bottom right of screen) for any programs that may have a pop-up blocker and disable it.

Pop-up blockers may be packaged with internet security software such as Norton Security and Zone Alarm.

IE on Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2:
Click on Tools
Choose Pop-up Blocker and click on Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.

Netscape/Mozilla Pop-up Blocker
Open the Preferences menu
Using Microsoft Windows, the Preferences menu is in the Edit menu
Using Mac OS X, the Preferences menu is in the Netscape/Mozilla menu
Open the Privacy and Security Menu
Select Pop Up Windows and Uncheck 'Block unrequested pop ups'

Firefox Pop-up Blocker
Go to Tools -> Options (for Mac OS X: Firefox menu -> Preferences)
Click Web Features or Content
Uncheck the box for "Block Popup Windows"

Safari Pop-up Blocker
Open the Safari Menu and choose Preferences
Open the Security Menu
Uncheck 'Block pop up windows'

Google Toolbar:
Click on the Google Icon and select 'Options'
In the Accessories Section uncheck 'Popup Blocker'

Yahoo Toolbar:
Click on the Pop-Up Icon
Uncheck 'Enable Pop-Up Blocker'

MSN Toolbar
Click on the MSN Icon and select 'MSN Search Toolbar Options'
Below 'Toolbar' on the left side, click on 'Pop-Up Blocker'
Uncheck the box labeled 'Turn off Pop-Up Blocker'
Click OK

AOL Toolbar
Click on the AOL Icon to the left of the search box
Select 'Turn off Popup Blocker'

Norton Internet Security
Double Click on the Norton Icon (pictured below) in the System Tray
Click 'Ad Blocking'
Click 'Turn Off'

McAfee Security Center
Open McAfee Security Center > Privacy Service
Click on Options, from the categories on the left side
Choose the 'Block Ads' tab
Uncheck both boxes

Zone Alarm Pro/Zone Alarm Security Suite
Open Zone Alarm
Select Privacy > Main
In the Ad Blocking area options should be there to turn it off
