Setting up AOL Email Filters

If you are using an AOL email account, you will need to make sure the email filters are setup to allow you to receive class mail. In order to receive emails from your online class mailing list you will need to change the email filter settings as shown below.

1. Start the America Online software
2. At the top menu, go under "Mail" and click on "Mail Controls"

3. Select "Allow mail from all senders"
OR
If you want to block/allow a custom list of senders, select "Use a Custom Sender List" and click on the custom sender list hyperlink.

4. Now make sure that addresses ending in uml.edu are not in the blocked list of senders (see below).

if you prefer to receive emails from known email addresses only, make sure that uml.edu domain is added to the allowed set of emails:
