4) You will need your student ID to get your online course username and password at http://continuinged.uml.edu/online
5) The University will automatically assign you a student.uml.edu email account upon registration and this is the address that all official University communication will be sent. Learn how to access your UMass Lowell email account You should wait 3-5 days after submitting your registration, to complete this step. Go to http://email.uml.edu for more info.
6) Get your ISIS User ID & Password at http://isis.uml.edu
Your ISIS student ID can be used to:
a) make changes to your course schedule
b) view your grades
c) access transcripts
d) register for courses
e) view your financial account, and make a payment
7) Get your textbooks! You can order books via our online bookstore at http://umlowell.bkstore.com

panda head Welcome to UMass Lowell's Division of Continuing Studies, Corporate and Distance Education, one of the largest continuing education units in New England. We offer graduate and undergraduate courses, degrees and certificates online and on campus in areas such as Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Liberal Arts, Psychology, Multimedia, and Website Development.

We are pleased to offer the following two courses for students from China during the Fall 2009 semester.

90.160-062 Introduction to Information Systems (10 weeks)
September 2 - November 7, 2009
Instructor: Andrew Garside
Provides the student with an understanding of how computer hardware and software are combined to build efficient and effective information systems for business professionals.  The course takes a user's orientation toward the use of the application tools, how to develop applications without programming, how users can build decision support systems, how to use the structured system development life cycle, how to control information systems and life cycle, and how personal computers can be interfaced with other systems. 3 undergraduate credits. Prerequisites: None.

Course Counts Towards: AS or BS in Information Technology, or as an elective in numerous IT certificate programs

Tuition: $1020.00 ($330.00 per undergraduate credit X 3cr plus a $30 registration fee).

66.501-031 Organizational Behavior
(8 weeks)

September 2 - October 23, 2009
Instructor: David Breyer
Introduces students to management and organizational behavior. Its general purpose is to study and understand the behavior of individuals and groups in organizations. It is directed toward behavioral action components and emphasizes the close relationship between the study of organizational behavior and the practice of management. 2 graduate credits. Prerequisites: Students need to have a 4-year Bachelor's Degree to take this course.

Course Counts Towards: This course can count towards the Foundations of Management Certificate Program or the MBA

Tuition: $1110.00 ($540.00 per graduate credit X 2cr plus a $30 registration fee).
