Course Description Deals with the manager's role in understanding and determining the firm's relations with government and society. Topics relating to government include the tax and regulatory provisions of local, state, and federal agencies. Some of the regulatory provisions studied include provisions governing licensing and mergers. The antitrust laws are also examined. Topics relating to society include the social cost of business, civil rights, business ethics, and problems in ecology. Prerequisites: Special Notes: Human Values.
