Emergency Contact Information & Notification
Responding to increased concerns about security issues of all kinds on University campuses nationwide, we have initiated a process to require students to provide and/or verify Emergency Contact Information on a regular basis. This information will be used to contact designated individuals in the event of an emergency involving you as a student on campus. When you first log into ISIS for any reason this semester, you will notice an entry in "Your Holds Summary" indicating Emergency Contact Verification. This "Hold" will prevent all Registration/Add/Drop/Swap a Class activity until you take action to verify your Emergency Contact Information. You will be able to release this hold yourself through ISIS by clicking on the hold and following the instructions. We encourage you to be proactive and verify this information BEFORE you actually need to register for classes or use Add/Drop/Swap a Class functionality in ISIS. For assistance, a Help document has been posted on the ISIS website.
Sign up for the UML Emergency Notification System to get notified in the event of a campus emergency or crisis at:

UCards (ID Cards)
All students may request a UCard, but for most OCE students a UCard is not needed. The UCard primarily works as a student ID and an access card, but benefits also include a declining balance (debit) feature that works at all on campus dining locations, bookstores, vending machines, printing and copy machines across campus, as well as over 30 participating merchants in the Lowell area. Beginning fall 2011, the UCard is also used for printing across campus, but printing cards can be purchased from the Libraries as well. OCE students who require parking before 3:30pm and have classes in labs secured by card access are required to have a UCard. Your instructor will let you know if you need a UCard to access a particular lab.
Note: If you park anywhere on campus before 3:30pm and do not have a parking decal on your vehicle, you will be subject to a parking fine.
If you need a UCard, you will need to visit the UCAPS Office anytime after January 2 in University Crossing to have your photo taken and UCard issued. UCards are good for life and the first card is free – if you require a replacement card, the cost is $20.
Contact the UCAPS Office at (978) 934-2800 or email: UCAPS@uml.edu, if you have any questions.
Student ID Number
Your student ID number is your ISIS/UMass System number. To obtain your number go to http://isis.uml.edu and click on the user ID look up.
Parking & Decals
New parking permits are required for all Continuing Education students parking prior to 3:30pm, but no decal is required after 4pm. Complete parking information and the permit registration form are available at http://www.uml.edu/UCAPS. Permits are also available at the UCard, Access and Parking Services(UCAPS) Office at University Crossing. Please note that cost for the parking permit for OCE students is included in the per credit hour tuition cost. The permit entitles students to park in any commuter parking lot. Students and faculty should not compromise public safety by blocking access of fire lanes, ambulance and other emergency vehicles. Students and faculty should not park in handicap spaces unless they display a handicap license plate or placard. Student and faculty cars will be towed and/or ticketed for violations. Please park in assigned University lots, as parking on city streets is subject to ticketing and/or towing by the lowell Police Department. Please call the UCaps Office at (978) 934-2800 for additional information. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter to get the latest parking update
