The City of Lowell will close the University Avenue Bridge for repairs from August 25 through December 12, 2008.
 
 Pedestrians will be permitted across the University Avenue Bridge while repairs occur. Drivers can use the Aiken Street/Ouellette and School Street/O’Donnell bridges – the two closest to the University Avenue Bridge. This closing will have no effect on the University’s shuttle bus schedule; all are encouraged to use the Shuttle Bus when traveling between campuses. For updates on traffic matters in the City of Lowell, go to http://www.lowellma.gov/news.

Delays can be expected. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as the University Community responds to the bridge closing.
