Associate of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology
The Associate's Degree in
Mechanical Engineering Technology offers students a broad foundation in
engineering technology and the technical skills needed to support
engineering activities, particularly in the design, testing, and manufacture
of products, systems, and devices. Graduates of this program possess the
skills necessary to specify, install, test, operate, maintain, and document
basic mechanical systems. Career opportunities include support operations in
manufacturing, plant management, product testing, quality assurance, and
engineering.
The amount of time it takes for a student to complete this degree will
depend upon the individual student's course load. The Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology
(68 credits) may be earned as a benchmark towards the
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Technology (127 credits). Many of the courses taken toward this degree
can be applied toward a related certificate program, allowing students to earn additional credentials as
they pursue their degree.
Suggested Program of Study - Total
