New! BS to MS Program

Interested in making yourself more marketable in the IT marketplace? Consider the Bachelor's to Master's Option in Health Management and Policy with a concentration in Health Informatics.

Computerized healthcare information systems and electronic medical record systems are growing dramatically. This niche market is creating new job opportunities for IT students interested in working in the health care industry. Qualified undergraduate continuing education students who are majoring in Information Technology in CSCE at UMass Lowell are invited to apply for admission to the BS to MS program. Students need to have a 3.0 GPA to be accepted; however, GREs, official transcripts and admission fees are waived. Examples of elective courses that students can take while still and undergraduate include: “Health Informatics,” “Health Care Information Systems,” “Systems Analysis,” and “Database Design.” Six credits can count towards your MS as well as your BS in this program.

Students interested in the Health Informatics Option should consult with HMP Coordinator, Professor Michael O’Sullivan (978) 934-4480, Michael_OSullivan@uml.edu .
