UMass Lowell Continuing Studies, Corporate & Distance Education

Biopharmaceutical / Biomanufacturing
Industry Training

January 13, 14, & 15, 2010

Join industry leaders and world-renowned researchers forpeople in lab an in-depth look at the latest advances in biotechnology and bioprocessing - from cell line generation to protein purification. Laboratory demonstrations conducted at UMass Lowell's state-of-the-art Massachusetts Biomanufacturing Center will complement the lectures and offer real-world solutions.

The Massachusetts Biomanufacturing Center Winter Training Program provides scientific and technical training to scientists, engineers and other professionals from all fields of the biotech and biopharmaceutical community. The program provides an overall view of biotechnology and bioprocessing. It will cover molecular theories for biotherapeutics, the engineering and applicable sciences behind bioprocess development, and the latest advancements in bioprocessing and bioanalytical technologies.

University faculty, with both industrial and academic experience, will cover every aspect of cell line generation, cell culture, fermentation, and protein purification, as well as protein analysis and characterization.
