Overview
Designed for the advanced user or serious novice, Advanced MS Project teaches techniques for using Microsoft Office Project 2003 pertinent to managing complex projects in mature project management environments. In this course, the special emphasis is on “explaining the mysteries” that often arise with the software, and adding depth and mastery to your software skills. This course covers advance techniques of project management and how to best use the software to customize fields and views, create tables for reporting/printing, recurring tasks, importing and exporting project data, resource contouring, and understanding multiple project resource allocation.

Instructor
John Riopel is the president of PM Providers and has over 21 years of experience as a program/project manager in government service and commercial industries implementing and managing internal, civil, commercial, and government projects. He has provided program/project management expertise to the US Navy, Army, Federal/Civil, banking, telecommunications, retailing, entertainment industries and other commercial clients. He uses the Project Management Institute (PMI) disciplined approach to program/project management and has led virtual teams along with onsite resources. John is an expert in database and web technologies and has often presented seminars on project management tools for Microsoft’s Project Association (MPA). He is a Microsoft Certified Professional.
